Apison is an unincorporated community and census designated place in Hamilton County, Tennessee, east of Chattanooga. According to the Wikipedia history, the railroad came through in 1881, and the settlement was first called O'Brian. The name was changed because another Tennessee town used it, and the railroad officials chose Apison because of large deposits of Apison shale found along the tracks.
It is a big area. The Census Bureau lists 16.19 square miles and 4,428 residents in 2020, about 274 people per square mile, with 93.4 percent living in rural areas. The old Apison Elementary School became a Tres Dias retreat center in 2001. Apison is near Ooltewah and Collegedale, but it has its own character.

Low density usually means larger lots, though that varies street by street. A larger yard raises practical questions. How much of it do you actually want to mow? Which parts could be planted with natives or left as a managed border? Native plant landscaping is an approved service, and a clear answer starts with sun, shade, and how the ground feels in different seasons.
Apison is a CDP, not an incorporated city, so do not assume a city ordinance applies to your property. Ask the relevant county office about any rules, and discuss the project scope with East TN Outdoor Solutions separately.
Lawn aeration and overseeding fit a front lawn that is thin from traffic or shade. Tree and shrub planting can frame a driveway or screen a boundary, and landscape grading may help where a yard slopes toward a house or road. If a storm leaves limbs across lawn or beds, storm damage landscape cleanup is also an approved service. Keep away from unstable trees and damaged structures.
When you reach out, describe the size of the area, existing trees to keep, and how equipment would travel from the road. Use the contact form or phone number to request a quote.
Because Apison is spread across many square miles, travel time and gate access matter. Say whether the driveway is long, whether a gate stays locked, and where debris could be staged. A rural lot can also have fence lines, ponds, or pasture edges that should stay untouched, so mark them early. A clear picture of the property lets the conversation focus on realistic scope rather than guesses.
